Pediatric Acupuncture - Shonishin

Japanese acupuncture also treats children and infants with very delicate techniques. These specialized methods are called "shonishin". Shonishin uses special tools and focuses on gentle and mostly non-insertive treatment techniques that are well recieved by children and infants. Stroking, tapping and pressing the skin are the commonly used techniques to give gentle stimulation.

Shonishin is helpful for a range of problems, including asthma, colds, musculo-skeletal, gastro-intestinal, psychological, skin and urinary problems.
